The Minister of Health, Dr. Austin Demby, has called for greater accountability and decisive action to prevent avoidable maternal and child deaths, stressing that the country’s health sector must not accept a single preventable death as normal.
Speaking at the launch of the Zero Preventable Child Deaths and Zero-Dose Children initiative, he urged district health teams to treat every maternal death as an event to be investigated and learned from.
